My Blog. My Life.

My love for the written word has been twisted into something warped.
Since I was a young girl, carrying around my red typewriter, I have loved to craft stories. True ones, imagined ones, fantastical ones, scary ones. It wasn't until I grew up and went into PR that the use of my words suddenly demanded something more than authenticity. They had to sell. Something. Many things. For someone else.
In the years since the digital world was created, the need for words as part of content is more urgent than ever. And I got lost, always trying to figure out how to monetize the words and thoughts trapped in my brain.
This blog is meant to free me from that. To get back to that kid with the typewriter. I intend to use this space as a place for stories to be unchained and shared. To have a place where ideas, crazy or otherwise, have a place to roam. Without the ulterior motive of making money.
I will introduce a store where I will feature affiliate products I love for no other reason than that. Suppose I make money, great. If I don't, that's ok too. I want people to interact with me from a place of authenticity. Not because it's cool, gets a million likes, or is trending. I am looking for like-minded people who want to share their stories because of mine and who cherish the freedom of writing without having to shape their words for monetary gain.
Spilled ink is just that. It's pouring out thoughts, ideas, opinions, dreams, disappointments, experiences, and beliefs without the fear of becoming something I am not. It's being truthful and loyal to who I am. It's being able to color outside of the lines.
I am a storyteller at heart. I'll tell you mine. And maybe, over time, you'll let me know yours.
This is me. My life. My blog.
Welcome.
